We are delighted to announce that the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has renewed the accreditation of the process used by Clarity Informatics to produce the Clinical Knowledge Summaries (CKS) service available through the NICE website.
The NICE Accreditation Programme recognises organisations which demonstrate the highest standards in producing health or social care guidance. Users of CKS accredited guidance can therefore have full confidence in the quality of our information.
CKS topics are aimed at healthcare professionals working in primary and first contact care in the UK and includes over 370 topics consisting of over 1200 clinical presentations or patient scenarios.
CKS provide succinct advice and recommendations for clinicians looking after most illnesses encountered in primary care. They are intended to provide quick answers to real-life clinical questions which arise during consultations.
The clinical content is continually monitored, reviewed and new topics introduced each year, supporting the implementation of UK national policies and guidance and addressing the information needs of the target audience of primary healthcare professionals in England.
Dr Gerry Morrow commented “We are so delighted to have achieved the NICE accreditation standard for a further five years. Our team continues to deliver the highest quality information which we know is valued and read by almost half a million clinicians every month. This news cements our position as the go-to source of trusted primary care advice in the UK.’
